Blue Devils hand Mustangs a loss on the court

The Blue Devils outscored the Mustangs in every quarter, but never really pulled away until late in their Mid Penn Colonial victory Tuesday night on the road.

Mia Libby scored 9 of her 14 points in the first half to help get Greencastle (8-1, 7-1 MPC) going, and Sayge Wilhide popped in 12 of her 18 points in the second half.

In a physical battle under the boards, Lauren Pool came down with 12 rebounds and Olivia Winslow added 7.

“This is exactly the type of game we needed — tough and physical on the road,” G-A coach Mike Rhine said. “We had to battle through a couple of injuries during the game and others are stepping up. Mia and Lauren really elevated their games when we most needed it.”

Wilhide knocked six 3-pointers to boost her career total to 152. Libby added 7 assists and Pool also had 6 points.
