Greencastle-Antrim 43, Allegany, Md. 40:
GA celebrated senior night for McKenna Rakaczewski and Ashly Noblit with an exciting back and forth contest against Allegany.
After a buzzer beating 3 to end the 2nd quarter by Sayge Wilhide gave GA a 5 point lead at half time.
However cold shooting lead to the Blue Devils trailing by five points heading into the final quarter, but they outscored Allegany 23-15 to pull out a non-league win Friday night.
McKenna Rakaczewski opened the fourth with a pair of 3-pointers for G-A (12-7), but Allegany’s Kelsey O’Neal (22 points) scored her team's next 10 points, while Sayge Wilhide hit a three and Mia Libby scored a basket to keep it close.
Another 3-pointer by Wilhide and a foul shot by Olivia Winslow gave the Blue Devils a 38-35 lead, but O’Neal tied it with a long-range shot. Wilhide’s fifth 3-pointer of the night gave G-A the lead for good and the Devils survived a late 3-point attempt.
Wilhide finished with 17 points (including a buzzer-beater just before halftime) and 4 rebounds, while Rakaczewski had 14 points. Libby had 4 points and 7 boards, Jenna Powell had 9 rebounds and Ashley Noblit totaled 5 assists and 2 steals.
