The first round of the PIAA girls’ basketball tournament is in the books.

For those lucky enough to be moving on, Round 2 action will be held Tuesday and Wednesday around the state.

Here’s a look back at six of the top performances among the girls’ games involving midstate teams:

Kyla Irwin: The senior scored 31 points in her last game for State College, a heartbreaking 59-58 loss to Penn Hills on Friday. Irwin closes out her career with 2,032, most in school history, boys or girls. Next stop: The University of Connecticut.

Leah Springer: Camp Hill’s season came to an end with a 58-46 loss to Dunmore in the Class A tournament. Springer scored 31 points to tie for top scoring honors among midstate players. She closed out her career with 1,718 points.

Morgan Baughman: The senior hit for nearly triple her scoring average in Cumberland Valley’s romp over Penn Wood. She came away with 29 points — including seven 3-pointers — easily her career high. Next up for the Eagles is a 7:30 p.m. Tuesday game at Hamburg HS against Central Bucks South.

Kiki Jefferson: Jefferson hit her average, and then some, in Lancaster Catholic’s first-round slobber-knocker of Universal Audenried Charter in their Class 3A game. She dropped 28 points for the Crusaders, who will face Northern Lebanon Wednesday at Milton Hershey.

Jenay Faulkner: The Greencastle-Antrim star is closing in on 100 3-pointers for the year after Saturday’s three-trey performance. She knocked down five — all in the second half — as G-A pulled itself out of a 24-9 halftime deficit to defeat Scranton Prep 43-42. Greencastle will play Gwynedd-Mercy on Wednesday at Milton Hershey in a Class 3A game.

Zoe Zerman: The junior needed nine points to hit 1,000 for her career and she made that on a driving layup in the second quarter. She finished with 13 points in Northern Lebanon’s win over Villa Maria to set up a second-round game against Lancaster Catholic
