Greencastle is known as a team that lives and dies by the three point shot, and that was on full display in their 43-42 come from behind victory over Scranton Prep. The Blue Devils couldn't buy a basket in the first half, going 0-12 from behind the three point line, leading to a 24-9 halftime deficit.
After a strong third quarter, Greencastle drew within 8 points of Scraton Prep going into the fourth quarter. Greencasle went on a huge 13-0 run to start the fourth, taking a 41-36 lead. Scranton Prep clawed back the a 42-41 lead after Calista Kline had a three with just 15 seconds remaining. On Greencastle's next possession, Hanna Crist was fouled and sent to the line with just seconds remaining. Crist knocked down both free throws, putting the Blue Devils up 43-42. Jenay Faulkner had a huge block on Scranton Prep's final possession to seal Greencastle's victory.
Jenay Faulkner led all scorers with 20 points, including 15 points from behind the arc. Hanna Crist added another 16 points for Greencastle, who went 9-16 from three point range as a team in the second half. Julia Sirotnak was Scranton Prep's only double digit scorer with 15 points.
