Greencastle ends Season at #9 in Penn Live AAA Rankings
3/23/2015

Here are your final PennLive Class AAA girls’ basketball state rankings, through the PIAA championships.

And if the team sitting at No. 1 looks familiar, it should.

Blackhawk made it back-to-back state championships, knocking off Archbishop Wood for the second year in a row, 46-40 for another PIAA title.

The Cougars went wire-to-wire from the 1-line all season; coach Steve Lodovico and his crew opened the season at No. 1 in early December, and never gave up the top spot, finishing No. 1 yet again behind 2,600-point scorer and Duquesne recruit Chassidy Omogrosso, who scored 23 points in the finale against Archbishop Wood — after torching the Vikings for 26 points last year.

Archbishop Wood, which never budged from No. 2 in our rankings since early December, finishes in that spot. And with four starters due back next season, don’t be surprised if you see the Vikings as our preseason No. 1.

But this season, once again, it was all about Blackhawk.
